How Pocket Panda works

Step 1: Pair your number

In Settings → WhatsApp, enter your WhatsApp number and hit pair. You'll receive a 6-digit code via WhatsApp — enter it to confirm. This pairing step verifies you own the number (nobody else can route your business's review alerts to their phone).

Step 2: Set your triage preferences

Not every review deserves an interruption. Pocket Panda's smart triage sorts alerts by urgency:

• 1–2 star reviews: instant WhatsApp alert, any time (within your quiet hours setting). These are the ones that cost you customers.
• 3-star reviews: your choice — instant or batched. Default is instant.
• 4–5 star reviews: batched into a morning digest (default 8:00 AM). You see them, but they don't interrupt your day.
• Quiet hours: default 9 PM–8 AM. Nothing interrupts dinner. The morning digest catches up.
• Rate limit: max 5 instant alerts per location per day — so a review-bomb doesn't become a notification-bomb.

Step 3: The alert arrives

A 1-star review lands. Within minutes, your WhatsApp buzzes:

Step 4: Generate and approve — inside WhatsApp

Tap Draft a reply. The AI writes two draft options and sends them back:

✍️ Draft 1: "Thank you for bringing this to our attention, Sarah. Waiting 40 minutes with a reservation isn't the experience we want…"

✍️ Draft 2: "Sarah, I'm sorry about the wait and how it was handled. We'd like to make this right…"

Reply 1 or 2 to post, or edit to revise.

Step 5: The weekly digest

Every Monday morning, Pocket Panda sends your Insights digest via WhatsApp: rating trend, review count, top complaint themes, top praise themes, and the three recommended actions for the week. The executive summary of your reputation, in the chat app, before your coffee.

What Pocket Panda doesn't do

• It doesn't auto-reply. Every post requires your explicit approval — tap, reply, or click. Same boundary as the dashboard AI.
• It doesn't replace the dashboard. Deep work — sentiment analysis, multi-location comparison, campaign management — still lives in the web app. Pocket Panda is the alert-and-approve layer, not the whole product.
• It doesn't message your customers. Pocket Panda talks to you, the owner. Customer-facing review requests go through the campaigns feature (SMS/email), not WhatsApp.
